Question by Timmy: Does apple sell ipod devices on itunes?Or can i use a itunes giftcard to buy an ipod from apple.com or somthin?
I recieved an itunes giftcard for chrismas but i don’t have an ipod. It broke. Is it possible in anyway to use the giftcard to buy an itouch?

Rogers does not provide an option to purchase the iPhone without a 3-yr term as a new activation or hardware upgrade (if eligible). The closest they have to a no-contract option is on the lost/stolen exception program which can be done on an existing line with a 12-month commitment (or no commitment if you already have more than 12-months remaing on an existing term). On this program, the 16GB phone is 9.

Ever since it’s initial release on January 9, 2001, that was more than 9 years ago, iTunes has brought about a drastic change in our digital lives. The latest version of iTunes, version 9.1.1(stable) was released on the 27th of April,2010. Apple has brought about a handful of changes to its very own iTunes!

DESIGN

The look of iTunes 9 is a little more polished than that of previous versions of iTunes, but the basic layout is pretty much the same. Similar to the previous version, iTunes 9 has a source column running down the left side of the software UI, which eases access to the Media library, the iTunes store, the Genius and the playlists. Media Files and albums like in previous versions can be viewed in 3 different modes, namely the List, Grid and Cover Flow.

FEATURES

What started out as a basic multimedia program serving the purpose of just ripping, burning CDs and transferring music to your iPod has evolved over the years into a multimedia giant capable of handling everything from HD-movie rentals to syncing appointments with your iPhone and iPod. Despite clogging so many features into this app, at its core, iTunes still remains as a very good tool for managing your media collections. Several media features added to iTunes 9 are:

The Need to Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone

There is a sea of difference between iPhone unlocking and jailbreaking.  A locked iPhone is a very boring device.  It is also very expensive to maintain because you have to keep up with expensive monthly fees charged by an exclusive network carrier.  That is why there is a need to jailbreak iPhone 3G to make it more exciting.  You also have to unlock iPhone so you can freely choose a carrier that offers lower subscription rates.  Before you unlock or jailbreak your iPhone 3G, it is very important to understand the difference between the two.

Apple contends that jailbreaking and unlocking iPhone violates its copyright and intellectual property.  However, most iPhone users and tech experts assert the fact that the individual owner of the device has an exclusive right to do whatever he wants with it.  Since iPhone was introduced, the device has been unlocked and jailbroken almost immediately without any problem.  The downside of unlocking and jailbreaking is that these methods void the warranty of you iPhone.  But you can effectively avoid voiding the warranty by restoring the device to its original factory settings.  Simply plug your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.  Then click restore to bring back the original settings.
