We And The Internet

Wednesday, 16. March 2011

Probably, there is no such person which would know about the computer but didn’t know about computer games. People buy the computer to play computer games and don’t suspect that except these games there is a lot of entertaining and useful things by which it is possible to do with the computer on it… Are the games useful or harmful to mental health of the person? What games should pay attention and what are better for avoiding? About all it speech in this section also will go…

For those who are unfamiliar with computer terminology and a computer slang, I will explain that “gamers” name people who use the computer in a greater degree only for the sake of games. The majority of gamers are “mad” people about computer games. An age contingent are within the limits from 10 till 40 years and the majority makes youth till 18 years (certainly, this definition and an age barrier are conditional).

In what games people play? Conditionally all set of games can be broken into some principal views. The most widespread kinds are 3D action and logic (“arcades”, “quests”, “strategy”, etc.). Generally, there are much more game styles but 3D Action and Logic are the brightest and the most favourite. Any game style is in own way interesting and develops certain thinking of the player. The initial sense of games consisted in original rest from monotonous every day life. But sometimes this rest develops into psychological dependence on the computer.

For the modern person availability to every possible Internet resources is for a long time already one of indicators of quality of life. Really, simplicity and speed of reception of the necessary information through a worldnet isn’t comparable with what another.

The schoolboy and the student of XXI th century hardly imagine now such catalog of regional library: the large quantity of virtual libraries has once and for all solved this problem. There will be all: from antique dramas of Evripid to the books about Harry Potter. However reading from the screen of the computer doesn’t add health (especially it concerns sight), it also doesn’t provide strong storing of a material: strangely enough, at such reading the attention more dissipates, concentration decreases. Besides, chubby collections of compositions which went in great demand in bookshops earlier also have left in the past: critiques, monographies, and even simply ready compositions with pleasure are downloaded by our schoolboys.

Other problem connected with the information, received by means of the Internet, is that it frequently isn’t checked up and at times it is harmful. Fans especially risk to receive advices in a forum or on on-line consultations. So, one young girl has shared with friends on a cosmetic forum a secret of treatment of hair with the help of oils having forgotten to mention that it is washed off at the best by detergent powder. But there are also more tragical cases. First of all, it concerns consultations on problems of physical and mental health. Remember that the person on that party of a network even if he has the higher medical education can’t give you high-grade consultation, and especially to help to understand personal problems! And if really professional on-line advisers warn you in advance about it at forums very often it is possible to meet a large quantity so-called “grandmother’s recipes“.

Computers are an inalienable part of our life. PCs are used not only for business goals but for entertainment as well. There are so many electronic games today – motorcycle games, RPG games, shooters, etc. But if you want to play a game just to relax and you are not a fan of gaming or you don’t want to pay money, avail yourself of free games. Moreover you can look for games online, for example free online racing games. Thus you even don’t have to go somewhere – the online network can offer you lots of things you might need.

The rise of iPhone Game Development industry

The rise of iPhone Game Development industry

iPhone Game Development snowballed a lot of attention ever since Apple announced an open source application development platform SDK. Apple’s announcement of the app store helped 3rd party developers submit applications to them. Being an iPhone Game Developer is more than just normal coding which generally is done in Information technology companies. Developing games for the iPhone is quite different from developing games for consoles and desktops. Apple has always been improving the iPhone OS and hardware features so that games become more advanced. The new iOS 4 is highly capable of performing tasks and the iPhone 4 has already set records for being the fastest selling mobile device. Also portable gaming consoles are losing edge to mobile games.

Birth of the iPhone game development industry attracted main stream designers and game developers in to the business mainly beacuse of the craze the iPhone bought along with it. Along with it many big companies came into the mobile OS business to make their mark before the iPhone OS claims complete dominance. The mobile OS war is intense developers show increased interest towards iPhone game development because of its high resolution, good accelerometer and gyroscope. Good knowledge on objective C and frameworks is a must technical knowledge needed for a person aiming to become an iPhone developer.

An expert should be able to find clients business needs and guide a client to find a unified solution to his business problems and develop an application which achieves application goals. Any developer who wants to make their mark in the iPhone application development industry should have good skills in programming and also pay attention to design too. An entire app development team is needed in order to make a successful application as both design and coding elements have to be integrated. Building an app the way you want and calling it a day is not the ideal way to go about. App Marketing is another important aspect along with development as many games are competing to get attention.

Michael Torner is an iPhone Game Developer in the iPhone Game Development industry since 2 years.

Influence Of The Computer On Mentality Of The Person

Tuesday, 15. March 2011

Long work at the computer negatively affects many functions of our organism: the higher nervous activity, immune and reproductive systems, sight and the muscular device of the person… What can it mean for the simple person? Anything you like! To tell the truth you all it can “earn” and without the computer, simply conducting an unbalanced way of life. The computer is only one more link in the same chain: insufficient rest, an inactive way of life, an inorganic food etc.

All illnesses set forth above will certainly be reflected in your mental condition. However now it will be a question of that influence of the computer which directly is connected with our mentality. And if sight, hearing can deteriorate by means of the keyboard, “mouse” or the monitor mentality first of all influence more, so to say, virtual things – games and the Internet.

First of all it is necessary to tell at once that it is a question of sitting lasting many hours at the computer. The second, we mean people who spend the time in chats, forums, behind games, instead of be engaged in work on the Internet (information gathering, etc.). The third position from here follows: a portrait of this audience. Actually it also is the basic reason of similar pastime, with consequences following from it. Social support, at them great difficulties in dialogue is necessary for the people living the life on the Internet frequently, they test a dissatisfaction, a low self-appraisal, shyness, etc. All these problems the Internet “solves”! The Internet as though speaks to them: “Go to a chat, be represented by everybody, meet any desires and be afraid of nothing!” And people hasten to leave on safe environment for them, noncommittal life. Thus, they, first, aggravate those character traits of which would like to get rid, and also get the new: leaving from a reality by means of change of the mental condition, virtually changing the sex, age… Certainly, gradually such way of life, a thoughtway, impregnates all levels of their life. The person starts to operate and think in another way. He in another way solves household questions, family, personal, professional, partner etc.

Such psychological symptoms can start to feel the person if he concerns group of risk of Internet dependent people:

Good state of health or euphoria at the computer;
Impossibility to stop;
Increase in quantity of time spent at the computer;
Neglect a family and friends;
Sensations of emptiness, depression, irritation not at the computer;
Lie to employers or members of a family about the activity;
Problems with work or study.

Dangerous signals are also:

Persuasive aspiration constantly to check e-mail;
Anticipation of a following session online;

Computers are an inalienable part of our life. PCs are used not only for business goals but for entertainment as well. There exist so many electronic games today – motorcycle games, RPG games, shooters, etc. But if you want to play a game just to relax and you are not fond of gaming or you don’t want to pay money, take advantage of free games. Moreover you can search for games online, for example free online racing games. Thus you even don’t need to go somewhere – the online network can offer you lots of things you might need.

Android’s NDK: A blaster kit

Android’s NDK: A blaster kit

Being an open source application, Android has never went through restrictions over development. But as a leader to the Open Handset Alliance, Google devised a path that allowed a native code development, which will enable developers to execute the code directly on the micro-processors of a device. Recently, Google released its NDK 1.6, which is much-hyped as a blaster kit allowing rapid native application development to derive the results.

What is NDK?

The NDK (Native Development Kit) is an adjunct to the Android’s SDK (Software Development Kit), which enables developers to generate and execute native machines within application packages. This code adopts the same restrictions as the Virtual Machine code, but it can embed a big list of operations, rapidly. This is a kind of ultimate tool to Android app developers since it can do heavy computations, digitized processes and developers can even port some performance-sensitive portions of their existing applications coded in ARM assembly language C and C++, which can call-out a live Java application through Java interface. Few types of applications that are inefficient in creating interpreted Java, for instance, a real-time business intelligence supported by the mobile device, will work as native code. This kind of approach by the native code does not allow the application to slip out the sandbox created by the Operating System and specially, the native coded apps can’t be executed from the GUI, directly.

NDK 1.6 , What it has?

It’s a good news for Android app developers, that some new improvements have been introduced in the recent NDK 1.6. As seen in the Android’s official site, the new release has:

The capability to directly call-out the OpenGL functions which enhances the graphic rendering to big screen mobiles.

The new NDK can parse the properties and can find which platform it was targeted. Then, it will automatically generate libraries in the native code. All sources like C, C++ and Java can be placed under the same tree for easier editing. Increases the performance of memory-intensive operations, and promises a big-drop in battery drain

And hot fixes to increase the host system abilities.

X code and Eclipse:

X code (iPhone’s IDE) is a great development kit. Its like a rainbow of different tools which range from interface designing tool, debugging tool, advanced compilers, memory analysis tools, memory leak finders, simulation and even icon designing tools. That’s pretty much more than you need.

But Eclipse, (Android’s IDE) is a Java-based kit. We can say that it is a pretty straight-forward SDK, since you can easily know what’s going on from the start till end. Luckily, Android SDK allows to integrate all libraries, compilers, emulators into a mixture.

Like Apple’s App store, Google is positioning itself to design and run its own Android market. But it will take a long time, since iPhone’s app store is considered as the most organized integrated application market on the Internet. Till the second quarter of 2009, app store reached 1.5 billion downloads. The reason is the smooth integration of iTunes with the device but Google thinks that the concept of App Store will eventually vanish and the web will take over, everything else.

Since, Android is open source, it liberally allows introduction and execution of innovative technologies. The platform will grow as a big giant as the open-source developer communities constantly support the path. Android has gained a global recognition all over the world but Apple’s iPhone takes the credit to spark up the industry where in the past, most mobile applications were either media players or simple race games that looked like 16-bit Nintendo stuff. ?

The release of the Android 1.6 NDK to the developing community indicates that the Android team had started to attract more developers to the platform – especially the Symbian developers, and possibly, the iPhone developers who feel that their hard work plunges in to the pool of hundreds of thousand apps, which is clogging the enormous iTunes App Store. Let’s wait and see, what this open source application, will bring to the world.

How do I keep saved games between iPhone and iPad?

Tuesday, 15. March 2011

Question by Nibbles: How do I keep saved games between iPhone and iPad?
I have several games on my iPhone, for example, Final Fantasy 1 and 2. I recently got an iPad, and I wanted to play these titles on the larger screen. Both apps work fine, and look great on the iPad, but my saved games did not get transferred onto it. They were copied using the same itunes account and the same library, but none of my old iPhone apps copy across saved games or other data from the iPhone to the iPad. Is there anyway to do this?

Best answer:

Answer by Nana Nancy
to save your games, a game copy software is necessary. i used a software to backup my ps2 games, and i don’t need to worry about the games will crack someday or the games cd lost, and the sound and picture quality of the resulting copies are just like the originals’. Here is it. it can also help you to save your iphone games.

Apple IPad 2

Tuesday, 15. March 2011

The Apple iPad 2 represents a radical update for Apple’s tablet PC, being thinner, lighter and faster, with dual cameras. Kudos to Apple then, that the iPad 2 will cost the same as the first iteration.
Apple’s iPad 2 was unveiled by Steve Jobs at a special event, with the Apple CEO claiming the next-generation tablet is dramatically faster, with a dual-core A5 processor, and slimmer than its predecessor.
iPad 2 has the same battery life as the original iPad, according to Apple, and will run Apple iOS 4.3. Apple didn’t mention how much RAM the iPad 2 contains, and the screen resolution is the same as the original iPad.
The Apple iPad 2 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. People who have been following Apple’s product designs will not be surprised by this. What’s interesting is the effect this has on the “grippability” of the product. The original iPad was one of the most solid pieces of hardware we’ve seen from Apple, but the combination of its weight, thickness, and the curve of its backplate made it a bit hard to hold – and made a case pretty much necessary.
It’s much more comfortable to hold the Apple iPad 2 in one hand. The slight decrease in weight helps, no doubt, but it’s also the thinness – and most notably the fact that the back side of the device tapers to a flat surface in a much shorter distance than its predecessor.
In terms of materials, the Apple iPad 2 and the iPad are cut from the same cloth (figuratively speaking): There’s a glass front and an aluminum back. The device still seems solid, though palpably thinner. The big difference when looking at it from the front is that you can’t see the edge of the aluminum frame, which is quite noticeable around the edge of the original iPad when viewed from the front.
The reduced thickness of the iPad 2 means that we can’t say the iPad’s buttons and ports are on its side – there really is no side, unlike on the original iPad. There’s a front and a back, really, with a very small amount of curved space on the back where it meets the front piece. That’s where the buttons and ports are. It’s a very different feel from the original iPad. However, the buttons and ports are in more or less the same places as they were on the original iPad.
Beyond the device’s physical redesign, the major outward difference in the iPad 2 is the addition of a pair of cameras: one on the front and one on the back. As on the latest Apple iPhone and Apple iPod touch, these cameras can shoot pictures, record video, and be used for FaceTime video conferencing. However, they’re definitely of lower quality than the Apple iPhone 4′s 5 megapixel camera, and more in line with the cameras on the current-model iPod touch. The test images we shot in the hands-on room were grainier and with more evident jagged edges than those shot with an iPhone 4. Even a FaceTime conference with an Apple rep across the room looked a bit soft, though some of that could have been the result of heavy Wi-Fi traffic.
Along with the cameras, there are a couple of minor changes related not to sight but to sound. Instead of the pinhole microphone residing near the original iPad’s headphone port, the microphone has been shifted to the top back of the iPad 2 (on the 3G models, it’s actually right in the black plastic that covers the 3G antenna). And since there’s no real “edge” on the iPad 2, the speaker has been moved to the back, and sports a grille design more like that of a MacBook Pro speaker. It was impossible to gauge the speaker performance in the crowded hands-on room, but we’d guess it’s roughly comparable to the that of the original iPad.
There were white and black iPads on display Wednesday, and while this isn’t evidence that the white iPad 2 is real – we’ve held a white iPhone 4, after all – Steve Jobs seemed to indicate they would definitely ship on day one. Personally, I think I like the look of the black iPad 2 better, but that’s why they make the iPad 2 in both versions. Isn’t choice great?
Beyond the two colors, there are also three different variations of the iPad 2 based entirely on wireless configuration. There’s the Wi-Fi version, of course, and then versions with 3G cellular connections as well. The 3G versions have a black plastic strip on the back, at the top, just like the 3G versions of the original iPad.

Bugs Wars – review
(iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Chillingo, cert: 4, out now) Mobile games have been dominated by quite a narrow range of genres, which is not surprising, given the limitations and demands of the format. A vast, sprawling role-playing epic is not only hard to fit on to a phone, it also doesn’t correspond with the demand for short, satisfying snippets of gameplay. It’s pleasing, then, to see developers …
