After I bought a brand new iPad, I wanted to download books. A searched the net and I found lots of sites to download books but most of them charged a good few dollars, usually $15, for every book I was interested in. I found books I could download for free, but not the books I wanted. After paying for some books I really wanted, I used my iPad to read them and I must say, I really like to read books on my Ipad.
After a few weeks I stopped downloading books and I left my iPad aside for some time to allow my credit card to recover from all the spending. Soon after, my friend David who owns a Kindle recommended a site to me. David had been using a site called The Novel Network and he claimed he could download as many books as he wanted without having to pay for them. He only had to pay a one time membership fee of about $50, after that he was able to download every book he wanted from their huge database.
The Novel Network’s database was really huge! They had over 30,000 books available to download. And these weren’t books by authors I’ve never heard of. They were bestsellers like “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, “Breaking Dawn” (The Twilight Saga), “The Rembrandt Affair” (Gabriel Allon), “The Passage”, “The Obama Diaries”, and “Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown. These were a few of the books David showed me on his Kindle, and which he had downloaded from The Novel Network.
I became a member of The Novel Network as well, logged in, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I discovered. Lots of books I would have to spend $15 to download from Barnes & Noble or Amazon, I could find at The Novel Network, and download for free. That’s right…for free! Within days of using The Novel Network, my iPad, which I had not touched in weeks, was up and running again, filled with over 30 books I had just downloaded.
Another great feature of The Novel Network is that they also allow me to download the daily newspaper to my iPad! Any paper in the world, I can have it straight on iPad! They also provide a humungous database of digital comic books. I have been able to read all my favorites like Spider-man, X-Men, Dragon Ball Z etc. The even better feature is that The Novel Network works with all devices. That means you can download the books to your Kindle, Nook, laptop, your PC, even your Blackberry! The eBooks are available in every format imaginable, so you can take your books wherever you go!
Of course there is a down site to The Novel Network. Although they have a huge database of books available to download, there are still a good few books I like to have but could not find in their database. They regularly update their database, so maybe they have some of these books at a later date. For the time being there are enough books to download that I like to have, and if I really want to download a book The Novel Network does not have yet, and I do not want to wait for it, I could always download it from Amazon and pay for it.
